Parent Teacher Association

Believe, Achieve, Together We Succeed

A warm welcome to your PTA

We would like to introduce ourselves and tell you some key information about the PTA. Our PTA has been running for many years, it is run by a committee who are all volunteers; parents, carers and teachers alike.

Chair of PTA Carrie Hopton nominated by Gemma Walmsley and seconded by Emma Downes
Treasurer Heather Farmer nominated by Natalie Dawes and seconded by Natalie Price
Secretary Jemma Brookes nominated by Lydia Cooper and seconded by Stella Gavriel

The main function of our PTA is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. We also provided those ‘little extras’ that make school memorable, such as school discos, tuck shops, Year 6 leavers’ gifts and classroom visits from Father Christmas.

We try to keep our events accessible for all, bringing the communities of school and home closer together, providing the opportunity to meet new people and to have fun!

The money we raise is not only used to fund large projects such as, the new play zone and redevelopment of the Reception play area; it is also used for regular activities such as Bikeability, Young Voices and music lessons. We have helped to fund staff training, repainted and rebuilt the playground activity areas and provided many resources, such as Ipads, books and toys used daily within the school.

We run many different fundraising events throughout the school year and hope to provide something for everyone to enjoy: summer fayre, Christmas market, quiz and curry nights, a virtual auction, raffles, football and cricket tournaments to name but a few.

However, we are always trying to think of new ways to raise money for the school and we would love you to share your ideas with us.

We hope that this has given you a little insight into the work of the PTA and we look forward to meeting you.

If you can spare a couple of hours occasionally and are able to help us to support our school, please do get in touch. There is no regular commitment or responsibility involved.

Recent Projects

Each year, the PTA raise between £16,000 – £18,000 towards projects within school.

Projects that the PTA have supported are:

Purchase of new outdoor equipment
Creation of school pond
Development within ICT involving Ipads and laptops within school

This is as well as assisting with the funding of music, art and sports activities across the school.

The PTA is currently looking to fund various projects and is working with school staff closely to ensure that their priorities are met.

Many thanks for all the feedback from parents.  If you have any further suggestions or questions, please seek out your child’s class representative and they will contact us.  For a list of class representatives, please click here.

If you would like to be part of the of the PTA or a class representative, please contact hagprimpta@gmail.com.

Thank you!
